With nearly 35 years of experience, Dustin Robertson has built a law enforcement career on integrity, leadership, and a deep commitment to public safety. Chief Robertson started his career as a patrol officer with the Little Rock Police Department and progressed through the ranks to retire as a Major. During his time with LRPD he had the opportunity to serve as Commander over various divisions. Chief Robertson has served as the Chief Deputy Sheriff of Saline County for the past four years. His attention to aid the citizens in his community doesn't stop with merely patrolling his jurisdictions. He has continuously stepped outside of his regular job duties to aid in the formation of specialized task forces and programs such becoming a member of the LRPD’s first organized Gang Unit, becoming Commander of the Crisis Negotiation Team, the School Resource Officer Program, and aiding in the implementation of programs to combat the rise of property theft and violent crimes. Recognizing the importance of officer well-being, he also pioneered a wellness program to support the physical and mental health of those who serve. Dustin’s top priorities as sheriff are accessibility and accountability. He believes that law enforcement should be transparent and responsive to the community it serves. By fostering open communication and ensuring every member of the agency upholds the highest standards. He is committed to building trust and strengthening public safety.
